Safety

Think and act in a safe manner. Always disconnect power and use a lockout before you work on the E-coat system, or any of the related subsystems. Observe any confined space conditions. Use the appropriate safety equipment and clothing for the task. Please carefully read all the instructions listed below to familiarize yourself with the project before attempting to perform any of the work.

Required Materials

  • Teflon Tape

Required Tools

  • 20 mm Wrench

General

Auto Lock Fittings are comprised of the following parts: tube stem, hose barbs, and elbows.

Step 1

Apply Teflon tape to the tube stem (s) threads.

Step 2

Using the 20 mm wrench, screw the tube stem into the 1/4” threaded opening.

Step 3

Insert the 90o elbow on to the tube stem. Push down until it locks in place. Once the elbow is in place, it cannot be removed from the tube stem. TIP: If the tube stem needs to be replaced, unscrew it from the part. Call UFS for replacements.

Step 4

Insert the hose barb into the other end of the elbow. Suppressing the elbow and pulling out the hose barb can replace this part.
