General

TECTRON Membrane Shells weigh typically less than 3 kg (about 7 pounds). However, they can be very long and thus require special handling consideration. If the effective length of the membrane Shell is greater than 1900 mm (75"), or the membrane Shell has a Neck made from 2½" pipe (any effective length), or the overall length of the Membrane Shell exceeds 2200 mm (86") - your Membrane Shell requires two people to lift and carry it to the ED tank. Use a proper technique to lift the Membrane Shell.

Step 1

Check the drawing of your TECTRON Cell to see if its effective length (call out bubble with a lower case c) is greater than 1900 mm (75") or if the Neck (call out bubble lower case a) is greater than 60 mm (2.375"). If so, two people will be need to lift and carry the Cell.

Step 2

Have one person stand over the Cap and another person at the Collar. If they are in a box, then look for the "Lift Here" labels.
